USEFUL INFORMATION

The following are the booking conditions for booking with us, Dalslands turist Ab cottage mediation:

Arrival & Departure
The chalet is available from 15.00 hrs on the day of arrival to 12.00 hrs on the day of departure unless you agree different times with the owner or the Tourist Office. Usually, a hire-period of one week is from one Saturday until the next. Guests should notify their approximate time of arrival and the day, at least four days in advance.

Settlement
A booking-fee of 15% of the total price must be submitted at least ten (10) days after you have received your booking confirmation otherwise your booking will be cancelled. The rest of the fee must be paid 45 days before your arrival. If you book fewer than 45 days before your date of arrival, you must settle the whole amount ten days after you have received the booking confirmation. If the rent is not booked on our account 7 days after the last payment day, we will cancel your booking with no refund for your part.
Please remember, to make sure you get your preferred chalet: BOOK IN GOOD TIME!

Cancellation insurance
You can cancel your booking through the Internet. Use the code you received in your booking confirmation. If you booked a cancellation insurance, you must cancel your booking via us, not by the internet. You can also cancel by calling the Dalslands Turist AB (+46 (0) 531 52 60 16).

If you cancel your booking 45 days before your date of arrival you get your money back but we will charge you 300:- SEK in administration-fee. You get the possibility to buy a cancellation insurance at the same time as you book the chalet.

The cancellation insurance is valid in the case of, for example:
The insurance is also valid if something unexpected happens that makes it unreasonable for you to adhere your booking. (i.e. fire or water-leak in your house)

This must be confirmed by a certificate signed by a professional acquaintance or by an affidavit. This certificate must be sent to us as soon as possible, latest one week after your cancellation-day. At the cancellation you will not get the insurance fee back.

No reimbursement is available if cancellation is sought fewer than ten (10) days prior to the agreed date of arrival.

If you, after reserving one chalet, want to book another one we take 500,- SEK in administration fee and you have to pay the difference between the chalets.

Distance
Most of the distances and measures are appreciated and not exact.

Inspection, equipment and standards
Each chalet is inspected by Dalslands Turist AB to make sure that the description submitted by the owner is correct. All facilities are there for you to do your own housekeeping. You are expected to bring your own bedclothes, towels and any consumer goods you may need. Cleaning is not included in the rent, unless otherwise stated on the chalet notice board.
The standard equipment in a Swedish-type ¨summerhouse¨ can vary considerably. Modern and oldfashion furniture can be found in the same room; crockery and cutlery are not always of the same design; bedrooms can be quite small and without dividing doors; and the beds may be of a simple nature. If you need a detailed description of the facilities in your chosen chalet, you should contact, Dalslands Turist AB +46 (0) 531-52 60 16.
Extra equipment, for example bicycles, boats, and canoes, are normally part of your arrangement with the owner, so we cannot be held responsible for their standard or condition.

Responsibility
You are required to look after the chalet, and its contents and equipment carefully, following the rules and regulations set out above. You will be held responsible for any damage caused by you part or company, especially if there has been some irresponsible behaviour, any damage must be reported immediately to the owner or to Dalslands Turist AB.
You are obliged to clean the chalet before you leave, also any fittings and other equipment that needs attention. Damage should be reported immediately. If this is not done, the owner will do it at your cost. You are not allowed to stay more people in the cottage or outside than you stated in your booking. Notice that children older than 2 years are counted as persons.

Deposit
The owner of the cottage is allowed to take 1000,- SEK as a deposit. You will get the amount back when you leave the cottage and the cleaning is accepted.

Complaints
If you have any complaints, you should make them as soon as possible to the owner, no longer than two days after your arrival. Any fault that arises during your stay should be reported for immediate repair or attention. Any fault(s) reported after your stay will be charged to the visitor and there is no entitlement for reimbursement.

The location and surroundings of our chalets
During the months of summer, one must accept – hopefully understand - the terrain that surrounds our chalets and that helps to evoke the unique pleasures of our chalet holidays. We must expect that insects or other animals can present a problem, and the owner or agency that has let the chalet should be contacted immediately if large numbers of such insects appear, so that expert help can be given. Neither the owner nor the agency that has let your chalet can be held responsible for any unpleasantness outside the boundaries of the building and garden site: roadwork, perhaps, or the more familiar problems of camping sites and other open-air facilities.

Pets and smoking
Each chalet has a notice saying whether pets and smoking are allowed. It is most important that this request is respected both at the time you are using a chalet and when you are followed by visitors who are allergic or ill. Our chalets are not ¨ allergy- tested ¨!

Fishing licences
A valid fishing-licence is required at all our lakes unless otherwise announced.

Force majeur
The owner and the visitor have the right to cancel the contract if the cabin is not available because of act of war, nature catastrophe, industrial action, conflagration, a longer interruption in water and energy supply or any other similar circumstance.
